Even though I really don't like this album, this review failed in too many areas. And 'guitaring' is just a really bad word to use! Not bad for a first review, just try and be a bit more focused with your ideas next time. It sounds like this was written by a nine year old in some spots. Maybe get a second opinion on some of your arguments too.

This comment makes up for my spam.

I don't really like your review, but I agree with your rating more than the staff rating.

I took the staff reviewers word for it and went out and bought this album...only to find some of the most uninspired, bland music I've purchased in a while. To be honest...it sounded like a local band playing at the 8x10 or fletchers to me(I'm from baltimore). Nothing special about this album...move along.

Read the lyrics. They sound like they ARE focusing much more on the hardcore part of their act, but the lyrics are what capture me.

I agree that this album isn't very memorable. And TOCS isn't shit.

I've gotta listen more though so that this hopefully grows on me.

this album has weight to it, anybody who says otherwise is fucking stupid and still thinks underoath sucks based off their haircuts

also, i like how the kid who wrote this review thinks underoath's a post-hardcore band, regardless of the fact they're hands-down the best metalcore band of the past decade. This Message Edited On 09.21.08

i only listen to 4 metalcore albums. Unearth's Eyes of Fire, Underoath's Define the Great Line and Lost In The Sound Of Separation, and Anterior's This Age of Silence. So in a lot of ways i'd agree with calling Underoath one of the best metalcore bands of this decade. Everyone else out there just sounds the same to me

starting to like this more, but def like DtGL more. Although the vocals are better on this, i think DtGL just sounds better overall.
