Horror Show is their best. Or Burnt Offerings, I guess. But I like Horror Show more.

Burnt Offerings is their best but that whole Barlow period is the IE I dig.

I don't mind this album, its pales compared to Burnt offerings, Something Wicked and Horror Show but Matt's vocals are strong and there are some stand out tracks on here like I walk alone, divide and devour, Come what may. It took me a couple of listens to appreciate it, its an album you have to sit down and listen to and read the lyrics to get the story line which I liked. Combine Framing Armageddon and this album, its a cool story with some strong songs by 2 awesome singers and Jon is just an outstanding musician full stop.

Picked up a torrent, listened to it, deleted it.
I'm not going to be a drama queen and suggest that this is the end of Iced Earth, but Matt Barlow was hardly what the band needed at this point. What they need is for Jon Schaffer to take a break and learn how to write a good song again.

I really liked Framing Armageddon. I don't know what it was, but the album was just real pleasing to my ears as soon as I heard it, and this album is... Well, quite frankly it just sucks.
Barlow's nowhere near as talented vocally as Owens in my opinion, and I hate his voice on this album. Moreover, I hated it on Something Wicked This Way Comes, so its not unanticipated, but... Ugh. That's not all even, when it gets down to the instrumentation, it's just awful all around.
This is an album to make baby Jesus cry.

As much as I love Iced Earth to death, they really disappointed me when they played on October 16th in Nokia Theatre in NYC. Half their setlist were songs from this terrible album, and no songs from Burnt Offerings were played.
I just hope Jon gets his act together and writes some awesome shit again like Horror Show and The Glorious Burden. Nothing can come close to Night of the Stormrider's awesomeness, but he can at least try again.

This is actually a solid album, not as good as Framing Armageddon, but a solid work nontheless.

The glorious burden is their only album I've heard

I don't get these haters. Im completely new to Iced Earth, and I don't like Power Metal, but listening to this, I thought this was really good. Listening to Framing Armageddon, it is slightly better than this, but both are great albums, I honestly don't understand why so many people hate this album, and the album preceding it for that matter.

Im completely new to Iced Earth, and I don't like Power Metal if you haven't listened to anything else (Iced Earth or power metal) then obviously u wouldnt understand how boring and generic this is

Iced Earth started bleeding on the Glorius Burden album. On Framming Armageddon they were bleeding heavily. Here they stopped bleeding. They're out of blood and flatlined.

I'm one of those who really liked Framing Armageddon but the followup is just bland...i don't hate it but Barlow's vocals are uninspired and frankly so is the songwriting. There are a few songs i like but overall the songs are recycled and generic. I think Tim Owens would have made this material work slightly more as Barlow just doesn't fit but regardless this is Iced Earth's weakest album.

There just wasn't a song that blew me away on this one. Nothing as good as ten thousand strong at least from previous album
