When it comes down to it this album is like a more melodic hybrid of gorgoroth (particularly "Antichrist") and Immortal. The aesthetic similarity to dissection is just coincidence, imo.

It "sounds like" Dissection aesthetically -Cesaro already admitted to that- but if you were to play songs by this band on, say, a piano, then compare them to songs by Dissection played on the same instrument, they would sound nothing alike. He's trying to point out that the two bands' similarities are superficial, not elemental.
Not that I'm saying this album is similar Gorgoroth or Immortal, though... I'd say the most compositionally similar album is probably At the Gates' debut LP.
