Haha I guess we don't quite see eye to eye, but both rule.

Can't really get into Black metal at all honestly. Aside from Equilibrium and Moonsorrow (and the song Land of the Dead from Summoning), there isn't really much appeal.

Yeah I guess its not for everybody. You should try the more mainstream bands like Cradle of Filth, Graveworm, or Old Man's Child. Might help you get into the genre.

1 2 to the mother fucking 3. No offense Hawks, but getting into black metal isn't about being the commercial or polished shit available but Poet, Bergtatt from Ulver is the easiest place to go. Mostly singing and accessible as hell, ctachy riffs, etc. Even Falkenbach is a great start.

Yeah I guess you're right. They are the easiest to listen to though. Good production and stuff like that, but I agree that Bergtatt is also a good starting point.

I think you would really love Siebenburgen, Gotherfall, and Mater Monstifera, Hawks.

I've heard one of Siebenburgen's albums, I forget which one, but I didnt like it too much. I've also heard a couple of songs by Gotherfall and thought they were solid. Never heard of Mater Monsifera. I'll check them out.
