You guys have it all wrong, except Angel. Even My Shameful and Officium Triste holds more interest than Swallow does. Esoteric, old Saturnus, Hanging Garden, Isole is where it's at. Ereb Altor is another fine choice. This Message Edited On 08.03.08

There's no way in fucking hell Daylight Dies or Draconian is above My Dying Bride. Solitude Aeturnus would have to be included as well as a shitload of other bands.

Not quite as good as Dismantling Devotion, though still packs a mean punch.

The album really picks up by the end though

I agree with the previous two statements completely. Magazines are hailing this as the second coming of christ, well at least better than Dismantling which is false.

Album has grown quite alot on me. It's superb and also very nice to see the modern American metal scene blooming nicely with bands like D.D, WITTR, and Agalloch. I can only hop fore some more to emerge.

well see that's the problem, after buying all the other things I need (recording thingy, keyboards), I'm out of money. a decent drum machine is around $300-700

Does anyone dig the post rock vibe on Last Alone? Also, his Akerfeldt impersonation is spot on.

I havent listened to this in over 2 months, but it never really struck me in the few listens i gave it. Granted it was very good, but not as good as everyone else here says. Maybe i'll give it another shot.

Lolapalooza. I don't even know anything about the band except I have their ep which is good. That's pretty funny.

It's solid, but it is getting old fast.
