I'll admit I'm not much of a death metal fan, so I never got much into Paradise Lost's older stuff. I'm not a fan of death metal because to me it's really repetitive I mostly lost interest in the genre. However I do like their albums like (Paradise Lost, Draconian Times, Icon, and Symbol Of Life) I guess that's how I got into them.

wtf, I don't know what people are talking about. This has got some serious riffs and the sparse use of keys perfectly enhance the atmosphere. Holmes puts out a pretty solid vocal performance as well.

I know what you mean, but anyone could say Onward to Golgotha or Scream Bloody Gore are pretty "one-sided" but they'd be wrong cause DM is all about atmosphere and that indescriptible feeling you get when listening.
While this has nothing to with these classic records, it's still has that atmosphere DM can carry. Also, the slow, doomy approach to DM with keys and some female vox they employed here was one that not so many bands used before 1990

I mean, it might not be as mind-blowingly brilliant as later albums, but it's a solid death-doom album with awesome vocals, great production and lots of meaty riffs. I don't understand the 2s and 2.5s at all.

It is consistent, but there's also plenty of variety. The only weak links are the intro track and the "Lost Paradise" instrumental.
