Ya, I knew Edge of Sanity would come up. I still need to check those out Crimson, especially Dan Swano. Wyrd are nothing impressive on guitars. I've never even heard of Indigent, SIG:AR:TYR or Aarni.

I'd get those now if I were you. Listening to them back to back is one of the greatest things I've experienced in music.

I want to smack SCREAM! upside the head for saying he likes this more than Edge of Sanity. lol jk ;) This is a great album, but nothing compared to Crimson and the 100X better Crimson II.

Well for me this album is a nearly perfect mix of grim and bleak coldness, representing a meaningless and indifferent universe, and passion and beauty, which persist and triumph in spite of absurdity. Maybe it's all fabricated and in my head but I can feel that sentiment in the delivery and in the lyrics (although their english isn't exactly spectacular).

Musicianship and shred count too. There are a lot of very unique moments and melodic themes.
