It's funny how you say that and listen to AC/DC.

Great album. I also agree that although there were punk bands before this, Ramones and Clash (MAYBE Sex Pistols) were the most instrumental to starting the movement.

However:

"...and no other "punk" band will come close."

ugh. blanket statments like that really undermine credibility. This Message Edited On 10.04.07

I'd like to start this comment by saying that your review is fantastic. I also loved the opening paragraph. The Ramones are probably one of the most influential bands in music today, specifically punk rock. Many great band may have never existed had the Ramones not existed also.

Absolutley phenomenal Review and band. I just love this sort of 'live environment' sounding production.

theres no classic rock tag, but theres classic punk. i wonder how this came to be. prob a stubborn old punker demanded these classic bands not be associated with the dredge of warped tour 2005

"The Ramones are the first and the best pun k band of all time nuthing else comparse"

Plenty others do, Listen to Johnny Rotten's Public Image Ltd or Killing Joke, The Clash, Joy

Division, Bad Brains, Black Flag etc. All are much much better

"The Ramones started the punk revolution"

Apparently both of you never heard of Iggy Pop you know "The Godfather of Punk" :/ nothing makes me

laugh more than "punks" who think the whole scene started with the Ramones or Sex Pistols or in the

70's.
