This is my favorite Primus cd, with Frizzle Fry behind it, easily one of my top 20 favorite cds of all time.

hmmm...he gave it a 3/5...that's preposterous i'd give it a 4/5 at lowest which i won't ever do. so 5/5 baby :thumb:

This is easily one my favourite CD's, as you can tell by my name i am a huge primus fan. i'd have to say that this is probably my favourite album by them, closely followed by pork soda, frizzle fry and Antipop. then DVD is awesome and you can get to see some their tripped out live shows.
i would definately recomend this CD and i give it a 5/5
Oh, and for the record,
I discovered them in that awful Bill & Ted movie
Bill and Ted RULE

Dude, didn't mean to flame B&T. The movie just fell way short of the 1st. Primus was the best part, it was the first time I had seen or heard of them. I looked everywhere for the soundtrack to find out who they were. ****...that was back in the early 90's, long ago....
famous Claypool quote "We're Primus and we suck!"
Fish on....

Primus are the kings of ****ed up rock. They are awesome in Concert and make quirkey, odd, creative, and moving stuff. I can say they are one of my favorites.---peace and love----greg
This is an album of epic proportions. When I first heard that Primus was on a top 40 station, with "Jerry was a race car driver", I flipped! There is hope for mediocre American radio. I saw them at St. Andrew's hall here in Detroit in 92' when they were supporting this album. Tad opened up for them. One of the best shows I have been to.
Sailing the sea's:5outta5 :thumb:
Wow, that must have been an incredible show. That was right before the whole Primus explosion.

i love this album!!! hehe Tommy and Jerry are so awesome. Eleven is one of the best songs (musically) from the 90's IMO.

I agree with you there
I dont know much about bass, but American Life sounds absolutely intense as far as bass goes.

Hw can you give a song the highest rating and say it's one of the best songs, implying there are better?
Moron.

I don't think it's that bad. *disreguards ratings and opinions*
He's definitely done better though.

I have to say Frizzle Fry is my favorite album ever but Seas of Cheese comes in close second.
|
| |
useless trivia, Tommy the Cat comes from a story about some drunk guy who the owners of a bar tried to kill of to collect insurance money on him for.
This is actually the only Primus album I own, I haven't the cash to acquire the others, but Pork Soda ranks with this as the two best Primus albums imo.
|
| |
Its not hillbilly rock though.
|
| |
You really don't get Primus. This album is awesome! My favorite that I own is The Brown Album but this one is good too. Here Come the Bastards doesn't have a strange beat! It's just in 5/4 time. PRIMUS SUCKS!!!

How can you tell if someone really doesn't like Primus? Do they say, "Primus blows?"
Anyway, I might be picking up this album for Christmas. Either that or Frizzle Fry; I'm not sure which one I would like more. I already have Antipop though, so no "introduction" is needed. What do I get?

That's a good question. I guess you could say Primus blows. I never really thought about it but of course I'm not the one who came up with Primus Sucks but I think Primus fans can figure it out for themselves. Oh...and I would recommend The Brown Album too. It's my favorite, but Sailing the Seas of Cheese is really good too. I know...just get them all! Any of them would be good.

A lot of people say that the Brown Album is their worst, but I like a lot of the songs on it. Like "Shake Hands With Beef" and "Fisticuffs." Oh well, I still need some old-school Primus.

Primus Sucks.
