wish certainly has its fair share of great songs (like end) but i find it quite inconsistent

yeah i can see that. especially towards the middle of the album. ive always found that album opened very well and closed very well, but the middle section is pretty hit or miss

Actually this was the last consistent album of the cure

Never checked this either although I love Wish.

i find that i usually like most cure releases like this, but their best albums really overshadow a lot of the others. for example, i think kiss me wish and head on the door are good, but when i choose to listen to the cure, i always listen to either disintegration or the gothic stuff from the early 80s

Only Cure album I think is a classic is Disintegration tbh. Really like Pornography and Wish as well though.

watching me fall has quickly become one of my favorite cure songs, an essential tune. actually the whole first half is just fantastic, too bad the second half doesn't quite hold up

enjoyed this as much as pornography so im surprised at the lack of attention it gets in general. 'out of this world' is potentially top 10 cure

The first 4 songs are all really great

I gotta get on the band's discography asap, chronologically.

Have fun with that! I'm still at it atm, but as of now, Disintegration remains unsurpassable (I'm pretty sure that will never change though. Didn't expect otherwise anyway.), but Seventeen Seconds through Pornography and this one are all really good.

For real though, I feel like this is one of the best The Cure albums up until the last three songs. Then it just gets pretty boring

idk 39 and the t/t are pretty great man
