It's okay but it's got a different sound from System of a Down and Toxicity. If you have both Toxicity and this one, then I'd reccomend checking out Steal This Album.

genius album. i got into soad around the toxicity days and i havent even heard of this album till a little before Mezmerize came out. as i had to, i got it and LOVE it. 'P.L.U.C.K' has to be one of the best songs they've done. I also love 'Spiders' and 'Sugar'. Their best album to date and my favorite SOAD no doubt.

Yeah, Hypnotize is like quicksand. Either System of a Down will sink down to the bottom or they might float back up to the top, depending on their movement.

This is probably their best CD - Sugar is the most schizophrenic (I hope i spelt that right) song i have ever heard and peephole reminds so much of a demented clown. Soil, Suite Pee, P.L.U.C.K., war? and darts are absolutely awesome - this is the meaning of system of a down not their new crap (Daron cannot sing he should just stick to playing guitar(which he does brilliantly)), Serj's singing cant be faulted either and makes switches from death metal roars to whispers on very short notice, credit to john dolmayan as well for the drumming - chavo doesnt do much tho.
I heard them play live and the "I sit in my desolate room bit" of sugar was sung almost completely by the crowd. This album is System at their best - buy it.

I must agree that this album is by far their best. The only thing about the review I would change is calling it heavy because to me it seems more energetic then heavy, if that makes sense. Then again, I suppose if someone who never listened to any metal listened to this, they would consider it heavy.
Also, this album has some funky drumming. Good groove to it.

^^ Metaldude - go and die somewhere quite so that i wont find you and damage you in such a way that you will never recover. This album is so much better than toxicity because it has so much variety and has crazy tempo changes while still remaining heavy. They were the band that probably bought the most variety to the metal genre. I scoff at those that label old System Nu-Metal.
