Modern emo/pop/rock music is boring and repetitive and dull and Thursday is no exception.

thursdays not the least bit pop.

this album got me into thursday and i love it. the lyrics are very touching and intriging. the drum and guitar work are sweet and i dig the singers voice. i like the versatility. soft sometimes heavier at others.
This band is boring. The singer's voice is boring. Modern emo/pop/rock music is boring and repetitive and dull and Thursday is no exception. And to this idiot who said Thursday is better than Metallica, please just shut up. A stupid argument like that will get you nowhere.
listen, if you dont like the music dont bother coming to the forum, its annoying to hear something like that about a band that you like stick with your own music and leave others alone about what they like

Now to what i was going to say in the first place, I cant believe you guys forgot to mention the crazy timing changes, drummer definetly has some true talent, i've never heard bands make 5/4 look so easy :thumb:

Hey, I'm not bashing this band just cuz I feel like it. I gave reasons. Maybe if you think about this, you'll understand my opinion, NOT agree with it. Nobody's asking you to agree, freedom of speech, ya know.

But freedom of speech is no freecard to act like an asshole (just generally speaking, nothing personal or directly related to your postings ;))

And, there are still guidelines how to review and comment on a CD. Maybe you want to have a look at that. :thumb:

I wasn't trying to bash this band. If someone else likes Thursday, then I'm going to let them. I contridicted someone's opinion, probably pretty harshly. But like Theo said, free speech. If someone says something that I disagree with, then I'm going to post my comments. I obviously don't think Thursday is better then Metallica, and I don't think people should be saying things like "if someone else thinks that, leave them alone" or "if you don't like the music then don't post" because that's what these threads are for - opinions.

Let's try not to spam this guy's review too much - it's pretty frustrating as a reviewer (coming from someone with personal experience).

I like thursday. But i dont care if people say they dont and they post it ... I like hearing input on the bands I like ... whether it is negative or positive it is still input and you should at least consider and try to understand why someone doesnt like the band ... I dunno thats just me... but i have 3 testicles so maybe thats why i think this way.

^ Dude, the last post was like 2 months ago..

Anyways, I bought this one on my birthday(the past Feb). I like it as much as I like Full Collapse, but I agree that they didn't progress on this one as much as they did on FC. Steps Ascending and Marches And Maneuvers are my favorite songs. 3.8/5

Amazing band. Im into metal but these are one of the few 'Emo' Band that impress me. They aren'tr lke other emo bands, the music is much more sophisticated and complex than others and of course dont forget the beautiful lyrics...

I find more flaws with this CD every time I listen to it. And when I listen to this and Full Collapse, I truly see what a change/letdown this album was.

I personally thought this was a very strong third album from Thursday. I can understand why people like Full Collapse a lot more though. They almost sound a little bit indie on that album? Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. The only downside I can think off is that there are less of these moments where you just think 'Wow!'
