Animals is my favorite Floyd album. I like the melancholy overtones coupled with the animal noises. It's more polished than wish you were here, less cheesy than Saucer, More colorful than Meddle and Less radio-friendly than Dark side of the Moon (which in my opinion is a good thing). 5outta5

Great review. Animals is second favorite album, only to Wish You Were Here (as you may have noticed). Obscured By Clouds comes in third. This review is very good . My personal favorite is Sheep. Pigs (three different ones) and Dogs tie for second. Once again, Great review. 5/5.

This one is the best pink floyd album in my opinion. Every member is in top form with gilmour's guitar on dogs, water's lyrics, wright's keyboard on pigs and mason's cowbell work on pigs. Everything comes together on this album.

My thoughts exactly (scary, we both have the same avatar and the same opinion on ANIMALS).

ANIMALS is by far the best PF album. It's eclectic, the playing is fabulous and the lyrics are amazing. There's not a dull moment on this album.

The album wasn't based on Animal Farm. It's similar to it, but its not based on it. I think its based on the personalities of some animals, and so is animal farm. Dogs are vicious attackers that dont care for others. Pigs are clever leaders. Sheep are the followers. Idiot.

^^^ It's not about the personality of the animals. It's describing political problems or something like that, and it's describing some types of people as animals. Pigs are the rich people, sheep are those who follow blindly , etc. Don't call other people idiot, unless you're 100% sure of what you're talking about.

4.5/5 that is good.

Dogs is my favourite Pink Floyd song, Gilmour is the king of bends.

This album is sadly underrated. But, it does prevent the songs from being overplayed, like all the other albums.

Dogs is truly an amazing song, and Gilmour is an amazing guitarist.

Very good album, and I'd probably place it 3rd out of their albums I have (after Wish You Were Here and The Wall). It would probably get 4.6/5 or so. Personally I find the two Pigs On The Wing songs on here to be absolutely brilliant as well.

Yeah, this is a great album. One of Pink Floyds best, I'd probably give it 5/5.

Awesome review; I could not have said it better myself. The Wall used to be my favourite Pink floyd album, then it was Animals, then The Wall, etc.
