This album totally blew me away the first time i listened to it. The only way i could explain it to my friends was a NOISE EXPLOSION! These guys are definetly up there with greatest shredders of all time. There epic songs also put them up there with the likes of Maiden. A must have for any metal listener.

i hate that name, and i dont like the lyrics, but everything else is beautiful (including vocals)
p.s. does anyone know ANY power metals bands that DONT sing about dungeons and dragons, or evil and justice? I love everything about this genre but the lyrics are like, seeing your mom before your gonna have sex =p (not that ive experienced taht before)This Message Edited On 03.26.06

I just picked this album up tonight, and am currently obsessively listening to it. It is amazing that people who like death and black metal bands can also listen to this. So far Fury of the Storm really stands out. I will probably eventually rate it somewhere between a 4 and a 5, with a 4.5 the most likely.

This is a very talented band and this is the disc I like the most thus far. The only problem is I can't seem to last very long to these songs, this CD is very difficult for me to listen to in its entirety at once as it gets tiring quickly. "Soldiers of the Wasteland" is the best song ever.

This is a good album. But not that consistent imo.

Tis a good album, though I'd like to see some more bass work in their songs.

I would too, but that's not really the band's goal.

Try Kamelot. The Black Halo should suit your needs.
The band actually does have a lot of interesting basswork, you just have to really listen for it.

This review seems messed up. The Soldiers of the Wasteland and the Prepare for War descriptions are switched?

Shiftyly, the cheesy lyrics are what make the genre so great. You just have to learn not to take them seriously.

Great review

He said vocals.
The vocals are cheesy because they're all cliche power-metal like. You know, all high-registered. Dio is ashamed.
