I still can't listen to mein teil without feeling disturbed

Dalai Lama is the best track on this album, it's lyrically genius.
Mein Teil is indeed disturbing; it's about the Armin Meiwes case.
Los is a waste of time IMO.

What the hell is Drop-d. Does it even matter how they play it, it can sound good however they play it. Whatever the hell this drop d thing is it wont make a good or bad album, its the music that matters not how its made,

I love "Moskau." It involves my two fascinations: German and Russian.
|
| |
Los - Pun-laden, soul shaking, almost blues goodness.
Morgenstern - not a song about love. It's about someone so hideously ugly that they pray to the Morning Star (Morgenstern) that they'll be pretty.
Mein Teil - Referencing the German Cannibal case, it pokes fun in a creepy way.
Reise, Reise - Epic.
Ohne Dich - Even more epic.
Overall - simple stuff, but it's mostly good. Most reviews on here need to get their translations right, and it's odd how no-one can like Los, but to each his own.

Yes, good good good review. I love the lyrics of Ohne Dich, great guitar line in the chorus of Stein Um Stein. You didn't say what any of the songs are about though...
My favs are Ohne Dich, Amour, Morgenstern (abosolutely EPIC) and Reise Reise.

"I have heard the Germany version and i have to say that i prefer this one."
Wait, what version is "this one" and what are the differences?!?

You're an idiot.

it's not drop-d, it's drop-C...
I find it kinda strange that you bash their tunings in a review anyway

I think he was talking not that the songs are in Drop D or C as bjoernswe said, but that ALL of them are in drop D so it might have been a bit repetitive for him to have all the guitars in the same tune. Just a thought.
Oh, and Mein Teil, Ohne Dich, Moskau and Reise Reise are my favourites

this is a good album still. it's a little uneven in spots (Los does nothing for me, Amerika's lyrics are fucking ass and Amour is zzz), but overall very good. and I can still listen to it.

Mein Teil, Keine Lust, Moskau and Stein um Stein are ace.
Like with all Rammstein's albums, it's fun when you're quite good at German and not coming from that country.

My thoughts exactly.

I can not really accept this review as some statements are week for German speaking people.
Maybe some points of view would change if you would have the connection and of course the right meaning of the really really metaphoric lyrics.
I personally adore this album cause it is seems to be the highest point in their carreer, in music and popularity.

I have always thought that this is a mediocre album and that Rammstein is a medicore band :/

You'd be at least partially wrong on both wrong points.
