I know, I know its sad. Next time I'm down at the record store I'll see what they got for these guys.

Just listened to "Havenless" on last.fm and it was pretty damn good actually, love the chanting at the beginning. This Message Edited On 10.15.08

Havenless is my least favorite here tbh.

As Fire Swept Clean the Earth though...that song is perfect. This is probably my favorite from Enslaved also.

I'll admit Enslaved are really solid, and have released a few excellent albums, but imo, they have not released anything truly classic or even 4.5 worthy.

Well the same thing can be said about Opeth but it's just a matter of prefrence tbh.

Probably their best album followed closely by Vertebrae and Blodhemn

Ruun is my favorite probably, there is something about that album that hit me hard more so than their other albums. I love the melodies and hooks that they threw in on that album, but this album is just as kickass. What I love about these guys, the same with Opeth is that every album is a progression into newer terrirtory. "Havenless" makes you want to drink mead and go out in battle!

This isn't even the best Enslaved album, let alone the best black metal album.

Well I consider Path to Vanir to be the best Enslaved song and that's on Ruun.

Ok so the best black metal album, ''but not so black because they don't burn church and don't recorded their music in a unhealthy basement ... ''

Nothing compares to hearing "As Fires Swept Clean the Earth" live and being about 10 ft from the stage...you're totally encompassed within it.

Listening to this now for the first time in a while. God dammit Enslaved is so freaking good.

I also just realized that Havenless is in Metal: A Headbanger's Journey.

That's such an epic song! My favourite off this has to go to "Ridicula Swarm".
