It was a difficult for me to get into this last year.
I will re-dig it because its a classic blackmetal album and im beginning to like good blackmetal a lot lately.

It would be a 5 for me, but there is that two or three minutes of what sounds like someone just stomping through the woods in the middle of one of the later tracks that just pisses me off.

I checked out Shadow of the Sun and I was...um...I don't know what I was, but when it came down to it, it just wasn't what I liked to hear. Not bad by any means, just not what I was looking for.
Finally checked this out.
Whole nother ballgame.

Oh yeah, if Shadow of the Sun is anything, it's totally unique, in the best possible way. I'm just way too in love with metal atm. Maybe someday I'll go back to it and give it the attention I know it needs/deserves.

This album and Nattens Madrigal are essential for fans of Black Metal, IMO. I already think that Nattens Madrigal is the best BM album ever.

Come on, its like 2 minutes long and the last 30 seconds has awesome piano in it. Not too bothersome imo.

The production is perfect on Nattens Madrigal. That doesnt mean its good because it sucks, but for that album it definitely works. Then again i like albums with bad production so it might just be me.

It still doesn't stop it being annoying.

I can't listen to that album on headphones, the production hurts my brain.

I can understand that. It definitely gave me a headache the first couple times, but now its the best BM album ever IMO. Much better than what everyone says is the best, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, which i think is very overrated.
