There's some YouTube videos out there of them playing songs from the first three Fates albums as Arch/Matheos. They rock.

Probably my favourite on this. You're a little harsh with that 2.5 there.

The last three tracks on this album are all awesome.

I just bumped it up from a 2.0, and I'm not going any higher.

I love how aggressive John Arch's vocals are, but the notes he hits are jarring.

Nah "Epitaph" is the best on the album but so are the two tracks right before it.

I am a huge FW fan and I have not yet listened to their first two albums. I started as a poor teenager in 1988 with No Exit and moved forward with the band to the present. Somewhere in the middle I checked out AtG but never had the inclination to go back to the beginning. I'm sure it's been an Alder vs Arch reasoning but now I feel I should check out how it all started. Thanks for the review.

Any of their last four 80s albums are amazing for me. Two are power metal relics while two are genre defining prog metal masterpieces.
