I think this is better than the new COB. I'll give it a couple more listen before I choose a rating.

On first listen, I'm thinking this ain't that bad, but it ain't anything special either, which sums up my experience of Norther in general. I'd rather be listening to Kalmah or Skyfire when I'm in the mood for something like this.

Still, I agree that this is better then Blooddrunk.

In all honesty this album is pretty amazing, We all know Norther isent really that much like Bodom. They dont try and play as fast or as intricate as possible, The main reason I consider Norther to be on my top 5 bands, Is not because of their comparison to Bodom or even the similar sounds but because all of their songs to me feel differently more emotional, darker, better lyrical content, etc. Whilest N is a great album I dont think it's their best by any means.

That title goes to Dreams Of Endless War.

This album was a little better than i expected, but still one of the weaker ones from this year i've heard.

To be honest I absolutely love Self Righteous Fuck, I think it's my favorite. Surprised I like it more than We Rock, which is damn awesome as well. For the most part a very solid album though, but a couple songs near the beginning are forgettable.

A couple more listens and this is kinda eh. Shame, really. I've been on a downloading spree in like the past week and just got Dreams of Endless War.

By god that fucking rapes everything else Norther put out, even Mirror of Madness. I'd say it's even as good as Follow the Reaper (my opinion of course, fuck all you bodom haters)

I find this as bad as Blooddrunk. Both bands sound pretty damn similar and both pretty much suck at this point in time.

Completely agree with the_wizard. It's like they're forcing themselves to go ''over the top'', which doesn't work out.

Also, Petri already had issues with his voice in TDUU which is noticeable in this album. He doesn't really scream anymore.

The chorus makes the song. Very epic in a Norse sense. The chanting is also spectacular.

For me, this is just a fun album to listen to and that's about it. Good, solid songs, nothing fancy.

It's a pretty good album, the only thing this album lacks is the technical side of things. Example Mirror of Madness. Still an awesome album though.

a great album by Norther once again. It lack's the technicality of Norther's previous releases, but is one hell-of-a-catchy power metal/melo death album.
