Post rock is a very vague genre that governs bands that use rock instruments for non rock purposes, a la Sigur Rós, GY!BE, Explosions in the Sky, etc.

Great album, Untitled 8 is the best closer to an album I have

ever heard, great album to relax to.

Great review to!

I still regard this over Agætis Byrjun.

It has a few tracks that just seem boring and meh.

This is number 2 on my list of CDs to get. I've heard a few of the songs on it (tracks 1 and 6).

The Video for Track 1 is so cool.

I've heard so much about these guys, and I haven't heard them. Gonna check them out, cause they seem incredible.

I just saw them live on sunday in Celavland. They closed the show with the 8th track from this album, and it was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. They are great live, and this album is great.

Nice Review

I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet. This is one of my favorite albums I've ever heard. Every time I listen to it, I'm hypnotized by the soundscapes.

I'm amazed at the sounds they create with such basic instrumentation. It's some of the most beautiful music ou there.

Someone who doesn't like ambience will find this boring for sure, but if you have any appreciation for ambient/slow/beautiful/unique music, I can't see any reason for not liking this.

BTW - A few months ago most of these tracks were free downloads on their site, but they might have been taken off now. Worth checking out.

This album is just awesome. It's like Radiohead's Treefingers the whole album.

I could swear it sounds like Jonsi is singing in English sometimes. Like in Untitled 8, it sounds like he says "Yes, I didn't know that." And in Untitled 1, it sounds like he says "You shine on" or something. Anyways, this is a really cool album. My favorites are 3,4, and 8.
