Thrones especially is a highlight for me

I'm not saying it's deathcore, I'm saying it mixes elements of Metalcore, Death metal and power metal. It's not heavy enough and doesn't have enough Death Metal characteristics to be death metal for me.

How you can say this isn't death metal is beyond me, but whatever, I don't want to start a petty little argument, besides, I don't know that much about music anyway.

Not heavy enough?! Not death metal??!! I don't hear metal core at all.

I finally got a hold of this. Reminds me A LOT of Fear Factory sometimes. Not the vocals of course. But honestly, the main riff of Thrones sounds almost exactly like Slave Labor. Believe me this is a good thing lol. This is most definitely death metal(with blast beats aplenty); it's hard to describe, but just the way their instruments sound reminds me of FF. Anyway, need a few more spins before I rate, but this is looking like a solid 4.This Message Edited On 02.17.08

i finally got this and it is awesome. i loved playing with my windows down while driving in my jeep. Alvestam's vocals on this are a lot better than in Scar Symmetry. i like the fact they dont use his clean vocals in every song, gives the album more diversity instead of having scream-sing-scream-sing approach like in SSThis Message Edited On 04.12.08

On first listen this sounded awful, now I am digging it though. First 3 tracks are the best imo, the cleans on this album are the weirdest and best i have heard on a metal album in some time. This Message Edited On 05.05.08

Fuck this is quite amazing too, I made some awesome amazon purchases.

Idk if i like this more than Holographic Universe yet, but I might. It's definitely more solid throughout.

idk if I like this more that Holographic Universe but I think I prefer this band to Scar Symmetry. Hopefully they'll put something out this year.
