definitely go with true widow's as high as the earth record for a more modern doomsy spin on slowcore, and also check out codeine- frigid stars, lowercase-kill the lights (emo/slowcore sounds like codeine had sex with unwound), bluetile lounge-lowercase and also california by american music club. theres a lot of boring stuff to be found in this genre but the bands who can pull it off REALLY pull it off.
