I listened to their entire album from their myspace page. Granted it was only one thorough listen but I gotta say I was expecting not to like this yet I was pretty impressed. They have fantastic range in-so-far as they're songwriting and instrumental abilities go. But I have to say this, feel free to flame me if it makes you feel better, I won't try and stop you. The lead singer sounds like a bad punk/emo vocalist that got tired of being made fun of for being a bad punk/emo vocalist and decided to try to sound harder and more badass and well-versed but it just sounds like he's being shook and strangled I really really really can't stand him...he's not a bad singer, he has a rather nice set of pipes and good range...it's just that I'd rather here the sound of britney spear's voice a-capella while she's drunk than this guy's layered a thousand times...just my opinion of course...

Great review john. These guys are absolutely amazing. You're absolutely right about the basslines. They need to prioritize them... every once in a while there's an awesome riff that I just can't appreciate as well as I want to.

Kezia was written when those guys where still in High School & how could you expect so much from them at that point? They have deff grown & improved since then,and Fortress is an amazing album & i highly recommend to ANYONE whom loves METAL to buy this album! (will DEFF not be disappointed!)

The production on this album is so sweet. The low end is so much clearer than most bands of this type.
