yeah i really liked the music better on bloodlust but i thought the production was better on malice and whatnot, i like SS and AILD have just fallen off

Yeah Malice is just pretty generic Death Metal and Bloodlust is a little better. SS is very good. I've never liked AILD. For some reason i dont like Christian music. It gets on my nerves even though my parents are both Catholic lol.

same here lol

most Chrisitian music sucks but there's a few exceptions. becoming the archetype, zao, mortal treason, extol i guess lol
|
| |
Its really weird to me because my favorite genre of metal is Black Metal and thats the most satanic of them all lol. My mom always looks scared when she hears my music playing.
|
| |
idk of any Christian black metal unfortunately. there's too much crap like the devil wears prada dominating that market.
|
| |
Oh no im not talking about Christian Black Metal. I hate that. I dont like most Christian music. If you want to look into it though some Christian Black Metal bands are Holy Blood, Horde, and Antestor. I dont like any of them, but if you want to look into them you can.
|
| |
Antestor is awesome C.B.M. Renascent, Frost Like Ashes, and Immortal Souls are border line melo death/black.
|
| |
I cant listen to Christian Black Metal. I dont know why. Black Metal just always struck me as an evil form of music and thats what it is. Christian concepts just dont go well with it IMO.

i know i read these guys' lyrics and immeadiately didnt like them as much
|

Yeah i can understand Christian Metal, but when it crosses into something like Black Metal or Death Metal, it just doesnt make sense and it doesnt fit at all. Like seeing a band like Antestor wearing corpse paint and then making music about Christian things just doesnt make sense. The whole concept of corpse paint is to replicate a dead and decomposing body lol. Nothing Christian about that.

i think your entire post is debatable but this is a discussion i'd have to take to the forums, if there even is a thread for it
|

Debatable how?

-controversial opinion warning-
well, to be brief, most of the things you described that "wouldn't be Christian" are purely for image, and being a follower of Christ transcends petty things like image. it is about loving and accepting people no matter what, and tbh most Christians have it all wrong, and a lot of things they consider wrong or sin aren't, like dressing up like a corpse for a show. if you know what you believe in your heart, you can understand that things like image and violence won't affect you if you don't let them. it doesn't matter how it looks to others imo. This Message Edited On 04.08.08

Both emphasize and emphasise are right by the way.

iaminsect, i aint a christian but damn bro you got it right.
anyways regarding the cd, the main problem is the over-emphasis of the breakdowns. WBCC isnt good at writing unique or fun breakdowns and the continuous use of mediocre chug-for-45-seconds breakdowns is what adds the majority of that repetitive feel to this cd. great review btw

I enjoy the vocal range (not so much the guitars), when compared to some really bad VR's featured by other bands of the genre.
