They seem like a pretty shitty band.

female cleans in metal don't do it for me
Funeraaalll....

After further listening it seems they reuse many of their tricks in every song...I dunno why they classify themselves as prog.

I heard Inside The Hourglass and thought it was pretty sweet. I just got the full album but I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the whole thing.
That one song was awesome, but maybe an entire album of theirs could get tiring. We shall see.

Jesus H. Christ, this album is looooooooooong. I loved it for the first twenty minutes, but I can only take so much of this sound.
Over sixty-minutes, Delusions gives the sensation of being beaten alternately with a baseball bat and a different kind of bat: any emotional reaction which could have been elicited is very quickly diminished by sheer repetition.
This statement is so frighteningly true. These guys are really awesome for a song or two, but I don't think I'll listen to this album in full ever again.

When I first read this review, I assumed that he wrote it and trashed the album simply to piss the few people off on this site that kept talking them up... but now that I've had it for a few days he's pretty well right... I still wouldn't rate it as low as he did, but this is pretty redundant and their tendancy to shove random parts into the songs makes them worse not better... it's a shame cause the first album was so good.

I don't understand why this got a 1.5...atleast should be 2.5...its got some interesting songs on here that make this cd pretty good. I have no problem getting through this cd all the way through. The only thing about this is its not something amazing, there isn't anything here that other bands could do better. Interesting concepts tho.

This band is so boring.

No way dude I think she's got a great voice!
This album would own if it was an EP.

I hate agreeing with Thor but he's right. Must be the avatar for one of the greatest movies regardless, she's got a phenominal vocie + she's gorgeous. This album isn't as great as the last though unfortunately.

Yeah dude if you agree with me, the terrorists win.

Something tells me I might want to burn this if I ever get it.

It's a possibility but we usually bang heads so it's odd to agree on something, quite often than not it's been happening in recent times. Chick vocals in metal rule, I don't see why many people have a problem with it.

^ Agreed. Arch Enemy has good female vocals, but Flyleaf sucks in every way possible.This Message Edited On 05.21.08

With female-fronted metal bands it's all about extremes. Either they're totally awesome or they're complete shit.
|
| |
Exactly!
Arch Enemy= Totally Awesome
Flyleaf= Complete Shit
Evanscene= Complete shit
etc. etc.
|

Bad examples tbh, Arch Enemy get's too much attention. Not going to say overrated but they get alot of praise. I'm talking about bands like (old) Nightwish and Tristania, Epica Draconian, and especially After Forever. There was some black metal trio of girls, not Gallhammer that has a mean voice, don't remember, oh and Rwake too.
