I'd say V is the best starter album, it perfectly bends their old 'bombastic' sound with their recent aggresive direction.
But this one is pretty good also

As I see it, V is their most diverse album, it's also my favorite. The Odyssey was the easiest to get into for me. The Divine Wings of Tragedy, on the other hand, is the fan favorite. You can't go wrong with that one.
