It's super close to a 5, but I decided the other day all of his stuff is at least a 4.5 for me. Even New Moon. Anything below that doesn't feel right.

yea most dudes end up 5ing at least two of his albums

could make a legitimate case for any of them being his best too

there is no best really it's all stellar music

It's true. I think Figure 8 does the best job of encompassing all sides of his music, but there's no album that sticks out as below par. His music is just ridiculously consistent masterpieces.

Yeah. I reread it the other day. Makes me pretty much feel like trying to write an Elliott review would be pointless.

most of his albums have reviews they deserve here (roman candle - alex, s/t - eric, fig 8 - rudy) but either/or is kinda crying out for someone to come do it justice

I could try to write one there. That's a tall order though. Since most people consider Either/Or his best. And St. Ide's Heaven is def my fave off his Self-Titled.

i'd give it a go but it's a 4.5 in my book and should prob get a really nice 5 review

don't have the connection to the record or the writing chops to it justice

agreed re st. ides heaven that song is beyond amazing

Decent review but I disagree about Neil Gust. I love his voice (and Elliott's too). I actually like Heatmiser more than Elliott's solo stuff, but I like both. If anyone is interested in more of Neil Gust he released two albums in his band No. 2 (and had Elliott sing backup on one song on the first album), and he has three songs on SoundCloud that aren't on any album. I like Heatmiser more than No. 2, but No. 2 is still awesome.
