I finally bought this album yesterday. It's amazing. I still have to give it a few more listens before I give it a final rating. I still think this album is just as great as its pre-RTR counterparts. Many people say that this album does quite match up to the previous three, but I disagree.
It seems they upped the technicality a notch without the riffs suffering. As a matter of fact, many of the riffs are very creative and much better than riffs off of the previous three. There are actually some solos on this album that are amazing too. There actually seems to be a bit more experimentation on this album too with all the weird keyboard effects. I might soon say that this is In Flames' magnus opus. This Message Edited On 03.04.07

This is their crowning achievement in my opinion. Best riffs, best solos, best vocal lines, and best drumming. I know not everyone agrees, but with so many good albums its hard to have the same opinions. This ones my favorite if that wasnt obvious.
