Excellent album, though I dont like it as much as In Absentia or Deadwing yet. I'm only on my second listen though.

Some of the tracks are some of their best, like Even Less, Piano Lessons, and I'd say Slave Called Shiver as well (i'm a sucker for bass driven songs) but tracks 8-10 didnt really stand out to me at all.

Believe me, 2-4 more listens and you'll love it unless there's something wrong with you.

No love for A Smart Kid?... makes me a sad panda

Pandas will spear PT haters with their bamboo so don't worry.

I think the whole album is superb. Piano Lessons is one bouncy mofo.

^ Yes, I know. I own it too.

I thought you somehow got your hands on the limited japanese Lightbulb Sun 'reissue', which I'm still awaiting for fucking 50 bucks. That's all.

this is really great so far. a lot simpler than their newer stuff, in terms of songwriting.

Its extremely catchy for me. "Even Less" and "Pure Narcotic" are incredable

Album has some great tracks but it's a little boring overall imo. I don't really want to give it a 3 though...

I much prefer their 3 newest albums. I saw Lightbulb sun in FYE so it must have been reissued recently, ill be sure to get it when i have the chance.

This album and Lightbulb Sun are extremely underated to newer PT fans imo. This album has a lot of great songs, the only down side is maybe the last three songs aren't as good, or bring down the album.

You are so wrong about the last three songs on the album. Apparently "A Smart Kid" is Mikael Ã…kerfeldt's favorite PT song, so yeah you're are kinda wrong lol.
