it sounds so flat and empty--the production displeases me. i also think it lacks any good melody or hook or anything and is one of their boring-er tracks

alex i kind of just see heatherwood as cyclical- you could jump right back to cryptograms (song) from it. i see what you mean, really, but without heatherwood at the end i wouldnt depend on this album like i do for 'emotional' deerhunter =)

I was worried about listening to this at first because I read that the first half was really spacey and unintelligible. But holy shit was that wrong. Just really sweet, open-ended music. Loved it.
