You know... in all fairness they were lumped into that whole nu-metal sensation a couple years back. And this was long after SCIENCE...

If Make Yourself can be considered nu-metal, I'm fine with SCIENCE and Fungus being funk metal.

Oh, and a fun EP.

edit: to further extend this "metal" disagreement, I invite anyone to check out that VH1 top whatever metal songs of all time. I'm sure you'd have a good time with it.This Message Edited On 08.19.07

This album and SCIENCE are great... I'd classify them more as "Funk nu-metal" in this step of their "evolution" (to sh*t rock).

Faith No More is "Funk Metal", and this isn't as heavy... hence the "nu" prefix. However, I do think it's hilarious how everyone gives this guy so much sh*t because he doesn't like the most hip/ underground musicz evar...This Message Edited On 08.20.07

Incubus remained more than solid until A Crow Left Of The Murder.

Why instead of degrading it to nu-metal just call it funk rock?

Doesn't it still have that feature?

-_-... how am I talking big? You are dissing on things I'm fairly sure you haven't listened to, judging by your ingenious commentary on their nu-metal validity.

The moral of the story is that pre-Make Yourself Incubus is Funk-nu-metal, fyi.

Nice Review!
