You can also utilize the wah by using it in a fixed position (most preferably in the middle of the spectral glide), and just leave it there. You will not achieve the same results you hear on the original recordings, but the result would be sweet nonetheless. Providing that you have a good amp, no one else will spot the difference.

Good call, I love the sound of a semi cocked wah in a static position. I feel like it's hardly done though. Instead everyone's just going up and down on the pedal...

Yeah, most people (even modern pro musicians) would just aimlessly rock the pedal up and down, but if you study carefully the old songs, you find that the pedal was never really used this way. You need to add some rhythm to your runs and depending on what you play on the guitar, progressively alter the signal.

Indeed it is rarely done anymore. You would be amazed by the number of famous songs that were conducted this way.

I think everything from the debut Fly to the Rainbow to Blackout is one of the best runs of quality and variety a band from this era ever had.

Their debut isn't that good, but apart from that, i agree. Early scorps are the real deal.

Go see him, he's a true professional. I saw him in 2013, he played for almost 3 hours. You don't get that kind of "treatment" from household name bands. You pay way too much for a 90' show, 2 hrs at best.

So hats off to Uli for being in his 60's and playing for so long. You leave a happy man from his concerts.

discog walk; complete session on the remastered 2010 japan ed, crystal clear production.

The guitarist duo is considered one of the best in the hard rock/heavy music history. Klaus Meine vocal performance is god tier material.

" The Sails Of Charron" revealed, once more, the guitarists talent.

Love this band a lot. 4.4

Possibly the Scorps best album, including the Born to Touch Your Feelings finale, which is an inventive and sensitive ballad. When we do vinyl evenings, and I suggest Scorps, and guests decline--"Gads, not Hurricane again" or etc.--I put this on and blow their minds.
