Californication wasn't written when Cobain was alive. The album came out in 1999, and Cobain died in 1994.

I agree: 'can't stop' would have been a much better choice than 'universally speaking,' but i think the reason it wasn't included was that the greatest hits and the 'can't stop' video were released at the same time, so 'can't stop' wasn't a hit until after this CD was released.



but yes, Can't Stop more or less owns Universally Speaking.
