Good night everyone.

I don't see the appeal of industrial.
Skinny Puppy

Korn use to be good, when they were original, but all this nu-metal crap these days is just down right boring and a disgrace to the real metal.
|
| |
The guitars really aren't that different in this release. Nothing is, they're doing the same old songwriting with some shiny new studio tricks and replacing the fantastic David Silveria with electronic drums.
Not industrial, btw. Real industrial is nothing like this.

"I don't see the appeal of industrial."
Ministry, nuff said! The greatest industrial band ever!!!!
|

No. Ministry is lawlworthy. Try investigating some real industrial.

I really like Korn I always liked everything they create, but I dont know anthing about Industrial I dont know what to expect from the album. I guess I'll decide if I want to buy it after I read several more reviews.
not even lead singer Johnathan Davis could have predicted this six-piece band from Bakersfield, California to revolutionize metal and rock music and end up creating a new genre, nu-metal.
they were actually five in the original lineup.

I cant wait to hear this, it sounds to me sorta like my 2 favourite albums of theirs, Untouchables and Issues, the atmospherics and experimentaion with their sound in its own barrier. Excited man

You know.. you've tempted me to give this a try.
Korn has always seemed a "kiddy" metal band to me, despite a few great moments there was something overly juvenile to them i didn't like. I dropped out after Issues (which was probably my favourite album) and the few songs i did hear released after that i thought were horrible.
If this saves their reputation with me i'll eat my boot.

I promised myself no matter what, I would not buy this. My dad might get it though, than I can determine a rating, but it'll probably be less than a 3.5.

the album istn that good i just listened to it on there myspace

this album actually did catch my attention on some spots. when i first heard Evolution i was SHOCKED to hear the pitch of the chorus vocals :S
on the other hand i was surprised that the über-heavy riff in Here to Stay has been topped; the breakdown after the drumsolo in I Will Protect You is crushing. i believe it's the eight string guitar Munky has experimented with. This Message Edited On 07.24.07

I went in with the mindset that I was actually going to listen to KoRn and like it... but it didn't work. Jonathan Davis just has the worst voice I've ever heard.
|
| |
Well, it's not as bad as it could be so far. But yeah, this sounds nothing like industrial.

ha ha... It could mean industrial influences, but definitely not industrial. Front Line Assembly uses metal influences sometimes, but they're sure as hell not metal.
