appreciating legit musicianship doesnt make me a "fanboy" sorry.
i listen to a lot of genres, not just shitty post hardcore and this album is simply mindblowing. all the haters out there should really give this album another thorough listen.

Review was a bit fanboyish, but this album is pretty good if you pile it in the 'flavour (sorry 'flavor' if your american) of the month pile. I certainly enjoyed it for a while
Its not monotonous enough to be considered entirely generic, the band have a pretty unique sound. The clean vocals at times are just plain brilliant and soar majesticly (woop, woop, cliche' cops!! lol), as the lead guitarist is sick, however the harsh vocals are some of the worst i've heard, they are delivered in a unique way at times, but the guys voice is just cringingly awful!
The good singer got booted out the band for being a junkie, or maybe for being ginger? Not clear, he was the main draw i'd say... he's in Emarosa now...who are...meehhh?ok..ish.....they should have booted out the other guy out for being shit.
I will be listening out for the new stuff, but they should get Johnny back, minus the narcotics This Message Edited On 07.31.08

I think that this album is better than their self-titled. The clean vocals were so much better in this one, and the screaming and lyrics aren't as horrible. Their new album also lacks memorable tracks like "Lemon Meringue Tie" and "Antlion". I don't feel that it will have much replay value, but hopefully it will grow on me. (It's a 3.5 atm).

Great cd and this band is post-hardcore.
They kinda remind me of A Skylit Drive but way better and more inventive.

oh no the new stuff is really poor. This album is really great, the new vocalist sucks and just because it is more diverse in its songwriting doesn't automatically make it better. Their song formulas were so much better in this record its untrue.

I agree with sspedding on the song formulas thing. All of the songs on this album are very original and not repetitive when it comes to their structure. I think on the new cd some of the songs are kind of predictable. Plus, Johnny is a much better vocalist then Kurt. This album also blends the use of screaming and clean singing amazingly.
