this is the first album i ever heard where some of the sound effects was ear achingly annoying. it's still an excellent album but does have some rushed songs.

Seriously what the fuck is up with this White Stripes shit popping on the page every time I refresh. Cant stand the band and also, I dont care if it's real or fake, the drummer or the drummer look alike's video isnt too shabby.

the pop up is The Dead Weather so the drummer is jack in that case and the girl is from The Kills, the singer

Wow was really shocked when I heard this album. I am a huge thrash metal head, but I gotta say I like this album, its pretty cool if u ask me. For some reason I just find this band cool as hell now... Icky Thump is brilliant.

Good review.
But Elephant is their best album, though.

I love every song on here and I'm not a huge Stripes fan by any means.

i'm personally not too fussed on st. andrew/prickly thorn, bone broke or effect and cause. Catch Hell Blues is alright but nothing they haven't done before. Rag and Bone is kinda fun and the rest is classic

I definitely dig the production on this album. I never really wanted them to be lo-fi as they had been before this. The more elaborate approach to production definitely makes a difference for me as I prefer my hard rock records to sound huge. Haha. Plus, the songwriting is excellent. I'll give you that Bone Broke is def the weakest link though.

yeah, this album does sound pretty powerful overall, esp. the epic riffage on Little Cream Soda and the title track. Plus 500mph torrential outpour blues is my all time favorite stripes track
