"Repentance is awful, as are Forsaken and PoW."

I dont agree at all, A song is not bad just because it is slow, in fact it is one of my favorites on the CD. I didn't like Forsaken at first but it grew on me. But I have to agree with you on PoW, it does kind of suck

Forsaken still sucks but I like it. It just screams Evanescence.

Repentence IS awful and boring. Not because it's slow, but because it is a boring song.

This is growing on me with every listen ,and i still love TDEN, my third favorite here, but i love heavier music so maybe thats why? Constant Moti0on woiuld have to be my ;least favorite but its still very good. Repentance i feel was strectehd out too long, and TMOLS has oine of the most epic intros ever, and aqn amazing instyrumental section, plus the chorus kicks. And ITPOE is just plain...classic DT, already. Then forsaken and PoW are very good, but lacking the epic quality that some of the logner tracks have. Still, not a bad trak here i'd hacve to say. I'd say this is either my 4th, 5th, or 6th favorite DT album (i need more listens to decide if i like it more than 6DOIT and ToT, but SFAM, I&W, and Awake are definately better.)

I have problems digesting any thoughts of albums being better than 6DOIT. That album is nearly a classic to me, I like it just as much as SFAM.

I love this album. Got it in the mail yesterday and haven't stopped listening to it since. Right now i'm listening to at school very softly because I don't have headphones and the teacher left the room >_> But really, is truly great. I'm not disappointed in the least. Portnoy is still doing crazy drum fills and beats and Petrucci is still shredding it up. What more could you ask for?

I agree with this review, for the most part. Nicely written as well. You get my vote.

Oh my gosh... the intro is lacking????? Dark Eternal Night crappy solo? What are you smoking? The first 2-3 minutes are some of the most indulgent, immersive, atmospheric musical pieces I have ever listened to. The guitar throughout that part is simply brilliant, it sets a beautiful pace and acts as a thesis for the entire album, just like a book. Don't even get me started about the solo in the Dark Eternal Night, it has a brilliant beginning that has a different faster pace from the rest of the song, and some beautifully dark diminished runs to major scale tapping, integrating happiness and sadness. I am stunned by your words, but I do respect your opinion. I adhere you to re-listen and think about developing a second opinion.

It's a guilty pleasure of mine, even though I realize its faults. There are a few gems in here imo
