Dude, Im not trying to attack you and personally I like Anthony Green but he has little to do with the whole thing! overall im just saying from what i've gathered from your reviews! it seems you just dont like Circa period!
Im not saying the music i like is better then what you like I just know its different from whats going on at the moment,no offense to you but anyone in my eyes who can give a jessica simpson or a maroon 5 album a higher rating then circa is just nuts to me but thats my opinion WHICH I AM ENTITLED TO HAVE just like you have your opinion in regards to circa and both Juturna and On Letting Go
This isn't a Anthony Green Thread and im not the one thats going to turn into that because i realize Circa as a whole is more then Anthony Green (which many have failed to realize) Im just saying you like different qualities in regards to all things music and by which you judge music and Circa just doesnt have those qualities!
Im also saying from your reviews of Juturna and Saosin's Selt-titled it seems like you just dont like Circa! (I have yet to see the sound of animals fighting review if there is one) Like i said im not attacking you or likes and dislikes in music im just stating what i gathered from what i've read in regards to threads and reviews!

You should wait for my TSOAF review. It's going to be fantastic when I get around to it. I think you would really agree with my opinion.

As do i, arguing never hurt anyone though.
Except that stuff with war or w/e....
He does tend to get really really boring vocally in circa because he never varies. I wasn't really into saosin ever though.

I'll agree with you on that! the 1st saosin EP is probably the best work he's done to an extent! (as far as emotions and infliction go!)
I also agree that On Letting Go isnt a real departure from Juturna but it has its qualites that some may like (like myself) but overall this album will please some and they'll claim its the best sounding thing this side of pink floyd and it'll definitely displease some claiming its utter trash and [Insert other insulting comment here]
but overall you like what you like and at the end of the day thats all that matters

and the guitarist needs to try different tones. like turn down the reverb...once.

I didn't mean to imply that. All I meant was to state that some people might find something in this so don't judge whether or not you should check this out solely on this review.
sorry i came off as a douche.
Oh and jason, maroon 5 kicks ass, they tend to have better songwriting than this band.
sorry i didn't edit iluvatar haaThis Message Edited On 06.01.07

hahaha, you're funny planewreq I never said he was wrong for disliking Circa or his review I just said it sounds like ILuvatar didn't like Circa to begin with or there sound!
And being that i've said myself that sonically on letting go isnt that far of a departure from Juturna sound!
and besides it would be pretty boring if people didnt come in here and disagree because then there would be no point to any forums

I dunno about the whole maroon 5 thing I think better songwriting is ultimately subjective to each person's listening taste and likes and dislikes in regards to music This Message Edited On 06.01.07

wow planewreq you really love to argue well 1st off if you would scroll up and read where iluvatar even says he doesnt really dosen't like circa! then we can move on now i will apologize for calling him a pop fan if that is an insulting term (although i didnt mean it to come across as such)
but the only reason i said that was because it seems like he has a different taste for Circa and i read his other reviews and in comparsion it seems like alot of Pop artist have the higher ranking reviews
I also read his Dark Side Of The Moon review and i can tell he likes Prog music because only someone who dose would stand off against DSOTM like that! while pointing out other valid bands who get little credit because DSOTM is the end all album for that genre because of its popularity
Now as far as Juturna and On Letting Go goes yea it's a progression musically with some new ideas tested but overall they didnt really depart from what made juturna so likable IMO! it seems like they took what they like out of Juturna and tried some new ideas! thus a progression but overall being so relative to juturna its not far from the tree so to speak!

planewreq do what you do homeboy i was just trying to state why i disagree with his review and my opinion! and when he admitted he doesnt like circa (not an album but overall circa's sound...yes i do take into fact that he likes Anthony green's voice)
With that dislike there is already an unsaid bias towards the band and album i know there is no such thing as a neutral reviewer (although i wish there was!) I would still question this review if a fanboy wrote the review for this album because it's still bias.
Dude, overall it's a forum people aren't going to agree on every review and i didn't so i stated such! so with that take what you will out of it because i think misunderstandings will continue to occur until they invent like a voice chat forum or something like thatThis Message Edited On 06.01.07

Wow, this was such a bad review. The only thing I learned is how moranic you are. You said the cd starts off with carry us away. Thats funny because right at the tope where the playlist is right next to your review it says the first song is living together. I really hope breaking benjamin treats you well with thier poppy stand out riffs you fucking shmuck. On letting go is a great album don't listen to this guy, he's got shit for brains.
|
| |
Jeez that was offbase.
I listened to the first couple of songs and was bored off out of my mind. It's unlikely I'll make it through the entire album.

God this band fucking sucks.
Very nice review.
