do you mean the title track? honestly not really, it has it's different movements/phases and i don't think they overstay their welcome. bit of a shapeshifter for sure, maybe the Dead's take on prog-epics haha

I heard a Terrapin from 93 yesterday, was a terrible show, but the Terrapin was wonderful.



Goes to show no matter how hard you try you can't F up a perfectly written song

to answer the question, I do like the LP version as a prog piece, they only played it a few times in its entirety due to how hard it was to play,



check the Dozin at the KNick release most of it is perfomed on it



yes the dead can crush prog when they want

maybe in another timeline the Dead never made Shakedown street and continued to build on the prog tendencies found here and a bit on Allah... not that i don't love Shakedown and material after but you have to admit that would have been interesting

listenin to some youtube comp of terrapin jams from 93/94, good stuff. most dead shit ive heard from that era is not too good but theres still some magic here and there
