It's nothing compared to the new daath
Any other Daath heads?
I applaud both of you for making my day. This Message Edited On 05.15.07
| | | I dunno I'm pretty sure there are some squeals and if there aren't then why would I listen to this band?
pig squeals rule!

Favorite metal band Crav, so I can get an idea of what "Metalheads of your
type" are digging?
Opeth, Summoning, Xasthur, Leviathan, Lurker Of Chalice, In The Woods..., Weakling,
Hypocrisy, Asunder, Converge, Burzum, Orphaned Land, Ihsahn, Dark Tranquillity,
Stolen Babies, (old) Ulver, Dissection, Grey Skies Fallen, Agalloch, Emperor, The Melvins,
Neurosis, Scar Symmetry, Solefald, and Virgin Black to name a few of what my group of
friends normally listen to that's metal.
EDIT: OMG! The pig squeels are the worst part about this band! This Message Edited On 05.15.07
| | | I don't listen to this band, I tried the EP out and there was literally nothing that captivated me.
| | | What's your favorite Weakling album?
| | | They only have one, and I'm not exactly sure if I like it or not. I find myself listening to the Fucking Champs more often.
| | | I have their first rehearsal split demo tape
| | | Ah, yeah I haven't heard that. I thought you meant album album. Hijacking reviews will be the daath of me though so yeah, nuff said.

Dead As Dreams, which is some of the best black metal I've ever heard. I prefer Asunder of The F**king Champs, which also contains members from Weakling. They are a lot slower and death doom-ish.
| | | Asunder are too slow and plodding for me, then again I never got into Funeral Doom.

It took me a long time to get into it, but now I love it. It opened me to like bands like Until Death Overtakes Me and it's ambient counterpart Dreams Of Dying Stars.

I will admit, I know there are haters of this band but I agree with whoever said they thought this would get a more positive response.

This is Deathcore, and how can you say this is the best death metal album in 5 years. I can't manage to distinguish between the songs. The riffs are too repetitive even though they're actually progressive.

^^^ Deathcore is simply a genre Nazi term.
Classifying every band is utterly pointless. JFAC (this album in particular) are just death metal. Having listened through it three or four times, I have concluded it is an excellent album which demonstrates limitless potential.
The band members are barely out of their teens for crying out loud.
Best track off the album has to be The Divine Falsehood.
| | | In my opinion, they the younger and more modern version of cannibal corpse. The vocalist reminds me a lot of Corpsegrinder! It's not as powerful but it's similar. And in my opinion, they can be classified as death metal. I haven't heard any breakdowns, there isn't a lot of melody, the vocalist mostly growls. This is album isn't amazing but I found it really fun to listen to. And cmon guys, the boys aren't even old enough to start drinking legally =p Imagine what they could produce in 5 years time.
| | | Drunken generic death metal?

For all we know they could be sXe.
