I think you judged it a little too harshly. Although they look like a bunch of scenesters, they make some of the best Death Metal (or Deathcore for all you genre nazis out there) out by new bands right now. There are alot of bands with their kind of sound but they pull it off the best I've heard. It's not a phenomenal album by any means, but it's still pretty damn good. As for the lyrics, I love em. I mean it's one thing to take lyrics like that TOO seriously (just take a look at Taking Back Sunday and Hawthorne Heights), but they seem to pull it off with a sense of humor. The breakdowns are frequent, but they're not neccessarily tiring, and solos aren't great, but not bad either, I especially like the one in "Medusa". I haven't listend to the full album yet but when I do I'll probably put up my own review.

Oh and btw I'm pretty sure all the vocals are done by Ollie Sykes. From what I've heard the guy has a pretty good Deathrange. Not sure though..

Dont flatter yourself. Some of the best death metal by a new band? Bring Me The Horizon? Are you f*cking kidding me. Personally Id like to see these guys get beat down, if possible by me.

I actually like this band. Medusa is catchy and fun as hell to sing along to.

I don't actually remember the rest of the songs on the album.

Not surprising, especially considering what you're digging right now.

And Hegster, you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

I'm going to give this a 5. These kids got me into any death metal influenced music to start with and just sort of shoved me out of the post-hardcore type shit.

I do really think, despite a lot of your disbeliefs, that because of BMTH looking 'scene', people tend to bash this band more than most. I'll almost gaurantee you that if they were not scene, less negative ratings would be placed.

Not really. Even if they weren't scene, they'd still be really shit.

Ok. But I never said they would be "better". I said less negative ratings/reviews would be placed; they wouldn't be as well known nor as well bashed.

This album is slightly different to my usual tastes of softer bands such as Billy Talent or Scary Kids Scaring Kids, but it has turned me over to a whole new side of music, with bands such as; As I Lay Dying, Black Dahlia Murder, etc.

I really enjoyed this album and now have tickets for them 7th December at Astoria and really look forward to hearing this live.

Why do most kids these days listen to such sh*tty music? They never go into the past, but instead, get attached to trends and jump on the local bandwagon. This band has no redeeming qualities at all.

omg, maybe because I don't bash a band because cause they are scene or not...or bash dumb*** that think they know what good music is. Please its a opinion.

I just have a taste for some hardcore influcened bands, that you guys don't...
