I'd start with Peace Sells if you want to get straight into the thrash, but if you want to ease into the band I'd go with Countdown To Extinction or Youthanasia first

I think you should start with Rust In Peace, shrimp. Then you should try Peace Sells (more thrashy) or Countdown To Extinction (lighter) depending on your feelings towards RiP.

What ever Metallica can do, Megadeth can do better. That's my policy concerning the two bands, and I'm sticking by it. Killing is My Business was a better debut album than Kill Em All. I'll listen to Peace Sells over Ride the Lighting everyday of the week, and even on some weekends. Rust in Peace is easily a much better quasi-progressive thrash record than ???And Justice for All. They did the "sell-out" thing better with Risk and the "return to their roots" album better with The World Needs a Hero
I was under the imperssion that professional reviews are supposed to be objective. I for one would beg to differ that the above albums you mentioned are superior to Metallica.

It's fair to say this album is not quite as good as peace sells.I really didn't care for their cover of anarchy in the UK and mary jane is pretty weak.However i like hook and mouth and my darkest hour the very best
