This is pretty good though, band went downhill after this like a lot of young British bands do after their debut.

Playing an electronically infused brand of indie-rock, the debut self-titled LP from English outfit Kasabian is sure to be polarizing. There are some moments of brilliance here, especially the 5 singles which make up most of the album's front-half. The bass is used terrifically & the psychedelic influences are integrated well, even if the lyrics get too trippy. Unfortunately, this undoubtedly talented band get over-ambitious with experimentation, drawing this inconsistent record out too long. But hey, it's a debut, and it is clear that Kasabian have the potential to go far. Recommended Tracks: Club Foot, Reason Is Treason, L.S.F. & I.D.

Just realised I've been missing out on 3 songs for 12 years on this album, since my Australian CD version only had 10 tracks. Could explain why I've always thought it was a tighter album than reviews indicated.

Great album. I remember back in my days of high school, "Club Foot" was a big hit

Yeah they still command quite a crowd over here. I've never really listened to them properly so I'm going to give this album a go. I already know Club Foot and LSF are jams.
