Catalyst rules. If you like the heavier side of these guys check out the Music For Nurses EP, Josh.

Fair enough. They're pretty erratic with their sound overall, so you get a mixed bunch of stuff. They're mostly a grower.

Music for Nurses is my favourite release of theirs, it's pretty astonishing.

I've always wanted to conduct an Oceansize experiment. Because I'm a fucking geek. One day I'm going to find someone completely unaware of the band, make them listen to all of their albums without knowing when they were all released. Then ask them to put them in the order they think they were released in. I can't imagine anyone getting it 100%

I'm not sure who would want to spend 6 hours of their day doing that.

Lol, obviously not all in one sitting. Any amount of time that it'd take to get to know the albums, just without finding out which came first. Wouldn't be any different than going through any other bands discog.

I would definitely be able to tell Effloresce (it's not Efflorescence...haha everyone makes that mistake for some reason) was their first among all the LPs. The production gives it away.

Call me crazy, but I think if I did that, I'd assume that Self Preserved came first.

none of them are similar in style, really. frames stands out most from the others, though.

All three sections are really unique and done phenomenally. Which one did you like the most totsy?

Fair enough. I hope it grows on you more, like it did for me.

The band has loads of talent.
