Heh, sadly I bought this album in the premise of their name and the album artwork.
Unfortunate mistake.
this album has virtually no replay value for me, save for one or two tracks, but apart from those, it's completely void of pluses (sp?)

New albums hits something fierce. The vocals slipped a little, I think, but it's pretty wicked.

Why wouldn't you if you liked their new album, the two don't differ that much.
| | | If you want hardcore, listen to youth of today, gorilla biscuits, and betrayed to name a few. I received this album from a friend and thought it was good for what it was, and by that I mean a mesh of ETID pull offs and chugging repeated wanna-be old school hardcore riffs. I would not recommend it to a true hardcore fan but maybe to a person who is a little more into metalcore.

LOL how much can you innovate on five chords exactly? It's such a general style of music with so many permutations and subgenres... there's a shitload of great punk bands using the same five chords and it still kicks ass. The quality stick with punk/hardcore bands is less about innovation and more about maintaining a consistently good sound, which This Is Hell do well. Let's face it, in terms of innovation no HC band after Refused did anything worth mentioning tbqh
