I like to update all pixelated covers, so usually that means updating all album covers of a band. This snowy one is the 2005 reissue cover, while the original 2000 release one are 2 dudes and a dog on a beach.

it's not snow, it's a painted ocean, with the beach and sandcastle. there's more going on overall since it's a simplistic painting, but both can evoke nostalgia. the 2005 version should be up though since it's the more recent and common one to find.

Heh, you're right, it's not snow. Just noticed. Generally I try to use the original cover since reissues are usually remastered, or have a lot of extra tracks, outtakes, alterante versions, etc. which kinda make it a slightly different album.

The album, especially the last track, really does seem to convey a sense of innocence. It's not as refined as their later work, which is probably a big part of it.

man remember me as a time of day gets me so fucking nostalgic
the days of senior year where i didn't have a care in the world and all of my emotions just fell right into place

sounds like innocence. Less drama on this one than the later stuff

First listen to this ever, it feels somewhat amateurish but kinda charming. "Look Into The Air" is an absolute beauty.
