I can't believe people are upset at the change in style of this band. So they went from generic whiney/screamy metalcore to generic thrash. Big deal, the album doesn't deserve a 1.

generic, but not well done at all. that is why people give this a 1. there is not 1 redeeming characteristic about this album. oh and their previous work was shitty too, but at least then they weren't trying to rip off metallica.

So anyway, my friend is a pretty big Metallica fan, but listens to every kind of music. Surprisingly, he'd never heard Trivium before. So I had him listen to the Crusade, and he goes "Dude, that guy sounds like James Heitfield! Like, really badly!......sh*t, they sound like Metallica! What a rip-off!"

Trivium, Metallica rip off get the F*** out of here.

Trivium are not and wont ever be the next metallica, just like no one will ever be the next led zeppelin. There are few new original bands like Tool, A 'n' Chains, Pearl Jam, Zep, Floyd, STP... Bands like Creed and Shnickleback ruin everything by trying to rip it off and make millions doing it.

Bottom line is the boys in Trivium can play their instruments well, and some of their music is pretty impressive. Some of it sounds like other stuff, But how many of you guitarists out there cant play half the metallica catalogue? I was in a band once, and all the songs I wrote ended up sounding like Adam Jones, and I thought i was doing my own thing.
