This is much better than Avery Island and I like every song, but it's just an okay album. Nothing really stands out as crazy good except for "Holland, 1945." But this is just my first listen, I'll see how I feel after a few more spins.

The lyrics man. I fucking love the lyrics on here. I've never been the type of guy to look deep into lyrics, but this album is an exception. Plus it has incredible flow; really feels like a cohesive piece.

Yeah, The Front Bottoms' singer sounds quite like Mangum, and some of the acoustic sections are alike, but NMH has a wider spectrum of sounds then just acoustic tracks (not hating on The Front Bottoms, they're just different)
