it is refreshing to have such a "cut & dry" record from them though

certainly not as overly cut as the one that followed, tho at last 3 of my favs from this era are on CD2

@MeatSalad the Bends is for people who couldn't "rock out" enough to OKC but thought Pablo was a little too straight-forward

it was still an evolution from the last record, this one was them practically apologizing for & pulling back from HTTT even though that record had some of their strongest moments yet
