I really dig how Geometric Headdress is led by the drums instead of the guitar in a way, there's a very "nervous" rhythm in the parts with the harsh vox.
Really not any negative difference quality-wise from the rest of their records imo, it's all the ass production

I can respect that, but for me it depends. If I really like the music I can "ignore" it, aka hate on it but still listen haha. Just like how I have to always ignore that their discography is brickwalled from start to finish except for that randomly better mastered digital edition of KNY we were talking about, cuz the music slaps

yeah man for some reason there's a digital-only edition sold by HDtracks (and I imagine other sites like 7digital but I won't take responsibility lol) that has a bigger dynamic range than the standard copies (or than the recent iTunes remasters for that matter)

I know it's the most cliched thing ever in a Deftones thread but this finally mostly clicked after using it as a soundtrack for a night drive. I still need to fully get over some choruses though, aka Chino dramatically shouting into the mic as loud as he can
edit: changed idea, choruses are fine it's just that this record can get a bit indulgent on repetition
